A man accidentally shot himself and his wife in their Tennessee church after he had taken his gun out during a discussion about weapons in places of worship, police said.

Police say Austin and Kathleen Boutain left two bodies and reckless violence in their wake.
Panic swept the room as people assumed an active gunman had entered the church.
A lawsuit alleges medical personnel wrongfully discharged the man, who had previously been convicted of killing a pregnant girlfriend.
